The family dinner project

Lifting up families with food and family dinner time

New Mexico Child First Network and Western Heights Learning Center Homevisiting Program are proud to introduce "The Family Dinner Project" - a collaborative effort ensuring that some of our most at-risk families and children always have food.

Starting Tuesday, August 24th from 4:30pm - 6:30pm, we will be hosting a 7-week Circle of Security TM facilitated class. All families will receive a hot meal together, and a food box + diapers to take home for the week. FREE for all attendees. INCLUDES FREE DAY CARE FOR PARENTS DURING CLASS.
—————————
Circle of Security TM is an early-intervention program designed for parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years who want to strengthen the bonds with their children and would like support to help their children to build secure relationships.

*CARA is the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act.

1 in 20 infants in New Mexico is currently born drug exposed; through HB230 (2019), most infants will return home with a "plan of safe care" yet out of 1200 newborns born in 2020, only 35 were known to be receiving intervention and services.

The goal of this program is to ensure that all CARA babies and families are receiving food and support.
