Training: Measuring What Matters for Resource Home & Adverse Placements Recruitment

New Mexico Child First Network is proud to present the findings of the New America New Practice Lab University of Chicago Center for RISC in partnership with New Mexico's CYFD. This team reviewed CYFD placement issues and has created an adverse placement report for New Mexico - which they will present in this training along with Q&A. About the presenters: Noah is a Senior Analyst at the University of Chicago’s Center for Radical Innovation for Social Change (RISC). He leads a team of data analysts who help child welfare agencies create data-driven resource home recruitment plans through analysis of adverse placements. His team would be happy to provide pro-bono support to anyone interested in creating their own adverse placement report!

TRAINING: Topic Lessons From Minnesota: Report Overview of "Minnesota Child Fatalities from Malt

New Mexico Child First Network is proud to partner with Safe Passages for Children of Minnesota to bring you this training and Q&A. Safe Passage for Children of Minnesota trains volunteers to advocate with their elected representatives for improvements to child protection and foster care; this includes better training and additional resources, but most importantly we promote practices that reduce prolonged periods of trauma and high risk for children. This report on over 80 child fatalities from maltreatment identified a number practices that consistently contributed to the children’s deaths.
