Please join New Mexico Child First Network for a brief training and overview of the benefits, resources and services of the UNMH Foster Care Clinic, including the UNMH Healthy Beginnings Clinic and the UNMH Child Abuse Response Team.

The Child Abuse Response Team (CART) and the Healthy Beginnings Foster Care Clinic are two programs within UNMH that offer care specifically to children that are in the CYFD system. CART provides medical evaluations to children who are alleged to be victims of abuse and neglect, and Healthy Beginnings provides a medical home and primary care to children that have entered in to CYFD custody. Together these programs provide a continuum of care for children from entry to exit of CYFD care. We work hand in hand to ensure that the unique medical needs of children who have experienced trauma and toxic stress are appropriately managed.

This clinic is geared to support all children in foster care. Bridget will answer any and all questions you might have about any of these three programs and more.

Participation certificates will be sent out to all attendees if you need training hours.

Please RSVP to maralyn@nmchildfirst.org to receive the Zoom link.
